The Osaka Loop Line is one of the busiest lines in Osaka, connecting the northern center (Umeda) and the southern center (Tennoji). Orange trains are mainly used for loop services, but many others run through from suburban lines. The older JNR Series 103 was declining, and the newer Series 201 became the main fleet.
