Series 9300 was built from 2001. As through services to Sanyo Railway expanded, the trains were equipped with transverse seats for longer-distance travel. The steel body was painted in a new orange-and-white livery. They were the last series built by Mukogawa Car Manufacturing. Eighteen cars in three trainsets were built.
