一畑電車は島根県の松江・出雲地区を結び、出雲大社への参拝輸送も担う地方私鉄です。北松江線と大社線を持ち、JRとは別に宍道湖北岸を通る経路を形成しています。
Ichibata Railway links Matsue and Izumo in Shimane Prefecture and provides access to Izumo Taisha. Its Kita-Matsue and Taisha Lines form a route along the northern shore of Lake Shinji, separate from the JR network.
