MS61は、1963年から投入された、パリRER最初の車両です。初期車は優美な装飾を持つ全面デザインですが、後期車は窓ガラスを大きくし、デザインはシンプルになっています。これらは直流専用車として設計され、A線専用です。吊掛式で経年も高いのですが、近年更新工事が進んでおり、しばらくは活躍が見られそうです。更新車は正面デザインが変わっており、識別は容易です。
MS61 was the first trainset for the RER, entering service on Line A in 1963. The original type (MS61A/B) has a beautiful rounded design, while the later MS61C/D/E/Ex has a simplified front-end design. Although these are older trains with nose-suspended motors, refurbishment has been carried out. Renovated trains have a different front-end design.
