Series 2200 are similar to series 2000, but they do not have tilting mechanism. They have non-special cars, which have 3 doors in a side. They are used in limited express in Nagoya, Inuyama, Tokoname and Nishio lines. A trainset consists with 6 cars, and sometimes merged with 3100 and 3150.名鉄2200系は、2000系の一般席車を併結したバージョンです。2000系の特別車2両に、セミクロスシートの一般車4両が連結されて、6連を組みます。カラーリングは1000系と同じ赤系統です。2008年より運用が大幅に拡大され、名古屋本線、常滑線のほか、犬山線・西尾線にも直通するようになりました。車体傾斜装置はありません。
