都電7000形は1954年に登場し、路線縮小後は荒川線で使われました。1977年からは台車や主要機器を流用しながら角形の新しい車体へ更新し、ワンマン運転に対応しました。1986年から冷房化などの改造も行われました。
Toden Series 7000 was introduced in 1954 and served the Arakawa Line after the wider tram network contracted. Rebuilding from 1977 retained bogies and main equipment while adding angular new bodies for driver-only operation. Air conditioning and other modifications followed from 1986.
