小田急8000形は1983年に営業運転を開始し、4両編成と6両編成を連結した10両運転にも使われています。あわせて掲載する旧5000形は1969年に登場し、後期の6両編成は5200形とも呼ばれました。旧5000形は2012年に小田急での営業運転を終了しました。
Odakyu Series 8000 entered service in 1983, including operation with four- and six-car units coupled into ten-car trains. The older Series 5000, also covered here, arrived in 1969; later six-car sets were also called Series 5200. The older Series 5000 ended Odakyu passenger service in 2012.
