01系は1984年から製造されました。大きな窓を持つアルミ車体で、古い銀座線を大きく近代化しました。合計38編成が製造されました。最初の23編成は当初、冷房を備えていませんでした。インバータ制御の電動機を持つ2編成を除き、大半はチョッパ制御装置を備えています。
Series 01 was built from 1984. It has an aluminum body with large windows, greatly modernizing the old Ginza Line. A total of 38 trainsets were built. The first 23 trainsets did not have air conditioning initially. Except for two trainsets with inverter-controlled motors, most have chopper controllers.
