1993年に登場した3500系は、名鉄にとって大きな技術的進歩となりました。電気指令式ブレーキ、インバータ制御、ボルスタレス台車を採用しています。旧型車とは連結できません。4年間で計136両が製造され、現在は名鉄の各線で広く見られます。
Series 3500, introduced in 1993, marked a major technological advance for Meitetsu. The trains adopted electric command brakes, inverter control, and bolsterless bogies. They cannot be coupled with older rolling stock. A total of 136 cars were built over four years and is now widely seen across the Meitetsu network.
