At Orio station, Chikuho line and Kagoshima line cross. 50 years ago, many freight train filled with coal had passed by here. Now, Limited express and rapid trains are going through this station, but the station's old building structures are the same.JR 折尾駅は、筑豊本線と鹿児島本線が立体交差する駅です。両線ともかつては貨物列車で栄えましたが、現在では旅客輸送が中心です。筑豊本線のホームや、鹿児島本線の高架はレンガ造りのレトロな雰囲気です。筑豊本線から鹿児島本線・小倉方面に直通するホームは、別の改札になっています。
