Tohoku Shinkansen, opened in 1982, is the main Shinkansen line of JR-East. Starting from Tokyo, the line runes through Sendai, Morioka and Shin-Aomori. Yamagata and Akita Shinkansen branch in the middle. Various types of stocks are used, including mini-Shinkansen, Double-decker E4.
東北新幹線は、JR 東日本の新幹線の本線です。東京から仙台、盛岡、新青森を結びます。途中で山形、秋田新幹線が分岐します。輸送量は劣るものの、車両のバリエーションは東海道新幹線より豊富です。長く200系が主力でしたが、現在では E2 系を中心に、二階建ての E4 系、新在直通用の E3 系が主力です。
