1993年に製造された6000系は5000系に似ていますが、片側4扉で窓が小さくなっています。6050系は西鉄初のインバータ制御車で、6000系と同じ車体を使っています。両形式は連結され、天神大牟田線の通勤輸送に使われています。
Series 6000, built in 1993, is similar to Series 5000 but has four doors per side with smaller windows. Series 6050 was the first inverter-controlled type in Nishitetsu, sharing the same body as Series 6000. They is coupled together and used for commuter services on the Tenjin-Omuta Line.
